Job Summary
The Logistics Manager is responsible for optimizing the flow of goods from vendors to retailers by analyzing supply chain data, managing inventory, and improving logistics efficiency. This role supports sales operations through forecasting, reporting, and order management, ensuring product availability and smooth program execution. The position also involves collaboration with vendors, customers, and internal teams to maintain strong partnerships and operational success.
Core Purpose
To ensure suppliers and retailers are positioned for success by maintaining optimal inventory levels, enabling timely order fulfillment, and supporting smooth program execution through strong analytical skills that support high value autonomous decisions. The role also involves generating key performance metrics and providing actionable insights to vendors and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Access and review customer order data for accuracy, pricing, and compliance with minimum order quantities.
- Monitor store and warehouse inventory levels to ensure product availability and recommend adjustments.
- Initiate and verify item setup to maintain data integrity.
- Communicate with vendors and customers to confirm order details and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate weekly sales reports, customer-specific dashboards, and performance metrics (e.g., fill rates, out-of-stocks).
- Analyze customer forecasts and provide insights to vendors.
- Review markup / markdown trends, shipment details, and customer feedback.
- Prepare and validate invoices for accounting.
- Attend vendor and customer calls as needed.
- Coordinate with sales teams on significant changes in order quantities.
- Collaborate daily with peers and managers across departments to ensure program alignment.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and reporting as needed.
- Support new program launches and maintain ongoing operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Abilities
