Process Technician

A company is looking for a Process Technician.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare samples of glass and refractory materials through cutting, mounting, epoxying, grinding, and polishing

Analyze and image samples using stereomicroscopy and polarized light microscopy

Conduct imaging and chemical analysis using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), and prepare reports for Geologists and Engineering staff

Required Qualifications

AAS in Engineering Technology or related scientific field

2+ years of experience in a technician role or similar function

Experience operating electron microscopes or performing analytical chemistry techniques

Knowledge of safety systems related to machine work and material handling
