Broad Functions : The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for supporting the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, providing analytical insights to guide business decisions. This role will act as a strategic partner for Operations by developing data-driven analyses, identifying financial trends, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The analyst will play a key role in interpreting financial results, evaluating variances, and recommending actions to optimize performance and profitability.
Main Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Budget Planning : Lead the budgeting process by developing and validating key assumptions related to revenue growth, cost inflation, and expense management, based on inputs from cross-functional business partners (Operations, Culinary, Purchasing, etc.).
2. Forecasting & Financial Analysis : Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly operating forecasts by analyzing current trends, risks, and opportunities that may impact revenue and profitability across multiple airport locations
3. Operational Support & Performance Analysis : Support Operations teams in analyzing sales, labor, COGS, and controllable expenses to identify efficiency opportunities. Provide insights into key performance indicators (e.g., sales per guest, labor productivity, throughput, and average check).
4. Month-End Closing & Business Review : Partner with Operations and the Support Center during month-end close to review P&L results, identify variances, and ensure proper allocation of costs and revenues.
Assist with inventory reviews, purchase order accruals, and other period-end activities.
5. Variance Analysis : Analyze variances versus budget, forecast, and prior-year results; proactively identify opportunities for improvement and propose corrective actions.
6. Collaboration with Finance : Work closely with the Finance department during month-end processes, inventory reviews, purchase order provisions, and P&L review activities.
7. Reporting & Insights : Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reporting to track restaurant performance metrics and support decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications :
1. Education : Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Experience : 2–5 years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis, ideally in the restaurant, hospitality, retail, or travel industry.
3. Industry Knowledge : Understanding of food & beverage operations, cost control, and labor management — experience with airport or multi-unit restaurant operations is highly preferred.
4. Technical Skills :
§ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, etc.)
§ Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion or similar).
§ Strong understanding of P&L statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
5. Analytical Skills : Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret operational data and translate it into financial insights.
6. Communication : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with both field and corporate teams.
7. Attention to Detail : High accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
8. Work Environment : Comfortable working remotely while supporting geographically dispersed teams and airport-based operations
9. Languages : Advanced English (both written and spoken).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role and requires color determination vision (no color blindness) and to sit for extended periods of time in front of the computer. This position would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Some bending and / or lifting of supplies and mail in / out materials from time to time may be required.
