Customer Project Engineer
Be the technical bridge between customers and our production / engineering teams. Lead DFM reviews, implement change orders, resolve customer issues, and drive product launches in a culture of Done Right, On Time with Legendary Service

As a Customer Project Engineer, you’ll be the technical bridge between our customers and our internal teams, ensuring smooth launches, efficient changes, and exceptional day-to-day support.
What You’ll Do
- Guide customers through onboarding of new products—from kickoff to deployment.
- Review customer change orders and drive timely, controlled implementation.
- Investigate and resolve customer requests; participate in calls / visits to support daily manufacturing needs.
- Lead and participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews for new and existing products.
- Support Document Control and Assembly Writing teams with BOM review and guidance.
- Partner with Production and Process Engineering to implement customer changes, manage prototype builds, and handle other customer requests.
- Assist with component review / analysis and help train technical staff and production teams on customer requirements and changes.
- Contribute to 5S / Kaizen, safety & health programs, and special projects; serve on committees as needed.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering (or related field) or equivalent relevant experience.Experience building strong customer relationships (preferred).Strong troubleshooting / debugging skills to solve complex technical challenges.Ability to interpret customer technical drawings.Excellent customer service mindset and communication skills (clear technical writing; fluent in English, written and verbal).Familiarity with Lean concepts.Proficiency with standard desktop applications; basic understanding of ERP systems.Self-starter who works with minimal supervision and collaborates professionally across roles.Physical & Work Environment
Ability to lift / carry up to 45 pounds.Ability to distinguish colors and work around typical production odors.General office and production environment; proper PPE required per ESI Safety Policy and OSHA standards.Travel : Minimal, typicallyWhy ESI
