Excavator Operator needed in our Sarasota, FL location.

The ideal candidate must be proficient in excavator operation with a focus on safety and attention to detail. If you are looking to grow with a company, this is the place to apply.

This position is outside.

Compensation : $20 - $23 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Operate excavators proficiently as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
• Carry out assigned tasks from management while prioritizing safety in all operations.
• Perform daily inspections on excavators and other heavy machinery to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Work with other areas, such as Maintenance, to ensure the equipment is properly kept.
• Be adaptable to working in extreme weather conditions and at various sites throughout Sarasota, FL.
• Wear all PPE.
• Be a team player.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Must be available to work a 10-hour shift from Monday to Friday and be open to possible weekend shifts if needed.

The ideal candidate should possess 2 years or more of hands-on experience operating excavators.

Vision : adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, give directions, and other business interactions.

Hearing : Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.

Speaking : Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying sizes with or without amplification.

Equipment Operation : Able to operate a wide range of tools.

Carrying : able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs / 9kg.

Lifting : able to lift up to 30lbs / 14kg.

Squatting / Kneeling : able to squat or kneel.

Standing : able to stand for extended periods of time, delivering information.

Walking : Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements.
