Job description

Overview

Join our Production Team Lead role at Mondelez International. In this leadership role, you are an internal technical master at the line level who ensures the line team is performing at a level that sustains and improves business results. You model priority setting, manage the plan-do-check-adjust cycle, and provide coaching and training for your team.

Your primary goal will be to achieve key performance targets in Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, Delivery, Sustainability, and Morale (SQCDSM). You will oversee a team of Production operators directly and technicians reporting indirectly in a unionized environment. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, planning, and human resources to implement our manufacturing strategy on the floor. You should demonstrate exceptional people management, leadership, and employee relations skills in your area of the factory.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain equipment to build technical mastery and deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets; identify losses and take action to eliminate them.
  • Use autonomous and progressive maintenance standards to maintain equipment and support new product development.
  • Ensure safety processes are observed (e.g., safety maps, lock out tag out, behavior observation system, root-cause analysis).
  • Perform quality assurance activities to ensure zero defects and 100 percent good-quality products.
  • Lead shutdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, stops reductions, loss analysis, and breakdown elimination.
  • Model company values and principles through coaching, mentoring, and team development in a unionized environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships between management and unions at the local level.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong operational and manufacturing leadership experience in a traditional unionized environment within the CPG industry (ideally food manufacturing), with expertise in TPM, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, coaching, and leadership skills; proven analytics, problem-solving, and team-building abilities.
  • Preferably an engineering or food science background with strong financial and business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to maintain equipment at basic conditions independently, including Autonomous Maintenance and Progressive Maintenance standards on dedicated equipment.
  • Experience with Total Productive Maintenance and Six Sigma, including qualification of processes.
  • Experience leading line teams and handling challenging interpersonal situations tactfully; ability to influence people in a union environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with good attention to detail.
  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering or a business-related field.
  • Experience

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing experience (required)
  • Production Processes experience (required)
  • People leadership experience (required)
  • Experience working with union employees (required)
  • At least 8 years of foundational knowledge in a supply chain environment
  • SAP experience and proficiency in MS Excel
  • Schedule

  • Mon–Fri shifts : Morning 6 : 00 am – 2 : 00 pm; Afternoon 2 : 00 pm – 10 : 00 pm; Night 10 : 00 pm – 6 : 00 am
