FAMILY MEDICINE FACULTY

Knoxville, TN

Seeking a mission-driven Board Certified / Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join our ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program as Faculty . This is an exceptional opportunity to shape a young, dynamic residency program while enjoying the quality of life in one of Tennessees most desirable regions.

Position Highlights :

  • Outpatient-only teaching and supervision role within the residency continuity clinic
  • Weekly schedule : 4 clinical days, admin day, Thursdays reserved for didactics
  • Minimal call (0-3 / week after hours) shared with residents and faculty
  • Opportunity to develop a small personal patient panel alongside teaching responsibilities
  • Help design clinic workflows and educational frameworks for a growing program
  • Supportive, collegial leadership and well-structured operations

Compensation & Benefits :

  • Base salary ranging between $280K-$300K commensurate with experience plus wRVU productivity model; RVUs tracked from month one and reconciled quarterly
  • Quality bonus - up to $30K annually
  • Sign on bonus - up to $30K (prorated 3-year payback)
  • Relocation Assistance - up to $15K based on receipts
  • Teaching stipend ~$26K / year (a minimum of 10 hrs. per week for continuity clinic rotations required)
  • APP Supervision : $1,000 per month for first 1.0 FTE APP, $750 per month for second 1.0 FTE APP, $500 per month for third 1.0 FTE APP
  • Medical education loan repayment up to $75K over three years
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, CME allowance $4,500 and 5 business days, malpractice coverage, and generous PTO
  • Qualifications :

  • BC / BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Rheumatology board certification a plus)
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in medical education (2+ years preferred, but new graduates with strong academic are encouraged to apply)
