Job descriptionThis position requires skills in metal finishing, blueprint reading and accurate decision-making. The position is responsible for the operations, programming, and maintenance of 2D flatbed laser cutting equipment. Operating and maintaining TRUMPF 2D and 3D laser equipment Material handling – loading and unloading sheet metal with forklifts and cranes Programming and setting up TRUMPF 2D and 3D laser equipment – make manual adjustments for cut quality and change cutting paths, troubleshooting Document in-process jobs Shear / trim sheet metal Do surface plate layouts with a variety of inspection tools Changing tech tables for better cut conditions Follow all safety procedures Minimum Physical Expectations : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to manufacturing processes that include and are not limited to; fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. EDUCATION : High School Diploma or GED, vocational training CREDENTIALS / LICENSURE : none MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : 1-2 years manufacturing experience Position Type and Expected Hours : This is a full-time non-exempt position with a minimum of 40hrs / week with overtime as needed. days and hours required may vary. 30p – 2 : 00a, M-TH and Weekend Days 5 : 00a – 5 : 30p F-Sun Position Requirements (Skills & Abilities) : Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic problem solving skills Ability to read blueprints Basic arithmetic skills TRAVEL No travel is required for this position.
