Assembly Technician- Great Pay

The manufacturing / assembly technician will work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment on the production floor, participating in assembly, fabrication, paint, and other production areas while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and standard work protocols. Technicians will utilize basic tools to accurately assemble both purchased and manufactured parts into finished products, primarily focusing on the frequent assembly of three different sub-assemblies, including pipe fittings, which constitutes more than half of the work.

Responsibilities

• Support work area safety, cleanliness, material usage, and shop organization.
• Perform production assembly work, rework, troubleshooting, in-process repair, and document assembly improvements.
• Set up, operate, adjust, and conduct minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet equipment safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Regularly assemble pipe fittings and engage in additional sub-assembly and final-assembly mechanical tasks.
• Document results during and post-engineering development builds in a clear and concise manner.

Work Environment

Work from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with the possibility of overtime or Saturday work. The facility is a combination of climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly areas, with climate-controlled offices and break rooms. Note that it may be warm during summer months as the HVAC system may not always maintain cool temperatures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 / hr.
