Warehouse Job
This position serves our customers by hand-building pallets of product and loading product onto trailers according to established company and customer standards. Responsibilities include :
- Reading pick sheets and traveling to proper warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
- Picking proper product type and quantity, labeling products, and placing them on pallets and loading the pallet on trucks according to proper zone, location, and established standards.
- Handling products and building pallets according to established food safety procedures.
- Ensuring that the warehouse is maintained cleanly and safely according to company standards.
- Communicating with the management team regarding any issues.
- Operating all company warehouse equipment safely, according to company standards.
- Completing all paperwork and utilizing a wearable computer to properly track time spent on assignments for productivity reporting.
- Working assigned schedule, exhibiting regular and predictable attendance, and working overtime as needed to meet workload demands.
Qualifications :
High school diploma / GED / equivalent degree.Six months of previous warehouse experience preferred; or equivalent work experience in place of a degree.Forklift and pallet jack license / certification.Professional skills :
Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and food safety guidelines.Skill in building pallets of products quickly, accurately, and safely.Ability to operate forklift and / or pallet jack and maneuver in tight areas.Meet the minimum productivity levels established by the company.Read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.Perform basic math functions.Solve problems.Wear personal protective equipment.Physical Demand :
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.The associate must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 - 90 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment :
