Golf Course Maintenance

The Golf Course Maintenance assists and / or works independently in the repairing and maintenance of various gasoline and diesel-powered golf course maintenance equipment. The Golf Course Maintenance also assists in maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building, contributes to a preventative maintenance program, and places safety procedures as a top priority at Jacaranda West Country Club.

Education and / or Experience : High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities : None

Computer Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Word and Excel helpful. Must know how to perform research using the Internet.

English Language Skills : Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations and using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Valid driver's license

Essential Functions of the position :

• Mows greens, trees, and roughs
• Rakes sand bunkers
• Operates backpack and walk blowers
• Changes pin and tee placements daily
• Maintains restrooms, water barrels, and trash containers on course
• Operates utility vehicles
• Operates various rotary mowers
• Assists with special projects as needed
