The Department of Orthopedics provides treatment for debilitating musculoskeletal disorders, such as sport-related injuries and degenerative diseases of the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle and hand, bone fractures, trauma, joint diseases and injuries, and spinal injuries and deformities. Our orthopedists are recognized for their operative and non-operative approaches to address sports injuries, spine disorders, degenerative joint diseases, and orthopedic trauma. They work side-by-side with

rehabilitation

specialists to optimize healing and recovery.

Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Surgery | Full-Time, Nights

As an orthopedic department PA, you will manage all aspects of care for patients on the orthopedic surgery team, including floor management of admitted patients, responding to orthopedic surgery consults in the ER, and first assisting in the OR.

This is a full-time night shift position that includes up to two weekends per month and rotating holiday coverage

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience in surgery or orthopedics preferred. Will consider new graduates.

Required Criteria

  • Bachelors or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies
  • NYS PA Licensure
  • Current NCCPA Certification
  • ACLS / BLS
  • NYS Infection Control certification
  • Current DEA and NYS Opioid Prescribing Training Certificate
