Sheet Metal Mechanic
The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for conducting the installation of metal / board HVAC systems.
Responsibilities :
- Assembles and installs metal duct and fiberglass board.
- Blue print reading and understanding of sheet metal shop drawings.
- All phases of duct installation (spiral, rectangular, double wall, welded).
- Understanding of different connectors that are used.
- Hanger layout as well as some field measuring.
- Organizes work area and maintains all hand tools.
- Lifts heavy materials at heights.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 6 months experience in any types of sheet metal and fiberglass, duct work installation on commercial / residential projects.Must have own Sheet Metal hand tools, company supplies power tools.Must be able and willing to follow job-site instructions.Lift heavy materials and not be afraid of heights.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.OSHA 10 or 30.Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and / or poles.Climbing stairs.Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and / or fingers.Operating machinery and / or power tools.Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and / or wind.Noisy environment.Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and / or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s) / office location.Pay Range
USD $19.18 - USD $25.64 / Hr.
