Job Overview
Samaha is hiring a Residential Plumber to perform rough-in and finish plumbing on high-end remodels and new construction homes throughout the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with residential systems, is familiar with the California Plumbing Code, and can work effectively with our design and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of plumbing installation for new construction projects, from underground utilities and rough-ins to top-outs and final trim.
- Coordinate, manage, and supervise plumbing crews on site to ensure efficient, high-quality work in alignment with project timelines.
- Read and interpret architectural and engineering plans, blueprints, and plumbing schematics to ensure that installations comply with design intent and code requirements.
- Layout and plan plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, gas, and venting for entire projects, using experience and judgment to solve field conditions.
- Ensure compliance with the California Plumbing Code , local jurisdictional codes, safety standards, and inspection protocols.
- Order materials, coordinate deliveries, and manage the inventory of tools and plumbing components required for each phase of the job.
- Communicate and coordinate daily with general contractors, site supers, inspectors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct quality control checks , resolve any issues on the spot, and ensure all installations meet Samaha’s standards for craftsmanship and reliability.
- Train and mentor junior plumbers and apprentices , fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and technical excellence.
- Track labor hours and progress to support project budgeting and scheduling.
- Prepare for and participate in plumbing inspections , addressing corrections, and ensuring approvals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges , including pressure issues, slope inconsistencies, layout conflicts, or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain organized and safe work sites , promoting OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
Qualifications :
5+ years of residential plumbing experience required.Current Journeyman or Contractor’s license preferred (C-36).Familiar with PEX, copper, ABS, and cast iron systems.Ability to read blueprints and follow building codes.Strong understanding of slope, venting, and pressure requirements.Reliable transportation and own hand tools.OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.Compensation & Benefits :
