Summary :
Provide secretarial clerical and administrative support for one or more of the in-house attorneys for Cook Childrens Health Care System (CCHCS).
Qualifications :
High School diploma G.E.D. or equivalent.
A minimum of 8 years legal office experience.
Proficient in spelling grammar and punctuation.
Highly proficient in the use of word processors calculators and other office machines.
At least ten years computer experience.
Typing speed of 65-70 wpm corrected for errors.
Cooperative and courteous to visitors and employees focused on customer service.
Initiative and good judgment.
Ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
Ability to make independent decisions within scope of responsibilities.
Excellent organizational skills.
Highly proficient in use of specified software used in Legal Department.
Ability to do basic legal research.
Familiarity with legal terminology documents and procedures.
Certification / Licensure :
Paralegal certification not a requirement but desired.
