Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial transactions. Based in Acton, Massachusetts, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic accounting team.

Responsibilities :

Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.

Code invoices according to company policies and accounting standards.

Prepare and execute check runs to meet payment deadlines.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Collaborate with other departments to address inquiries related to payment processing.

Assist in month-end closing activities by ensuring all payables are recorded.

Follow established procedures for processing and managing financial data.

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements :

Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments accurately.

Familiarity with check runs and invoice reconciliation processes.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
