Bright Light Academy is seeking a mature, experienced Lead Teacher to join our two year olds' teaching team.

The ideal candidates will have an Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Children & Families as well at least two years experience working with young children, preferably toddlers, be a team player & have a passion for early learning.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with assistant group supervisors to plan & implement daily lesson plans & activities.
  • Help create a safe & stimulating classroom environment for two-year olds.
  • Monitor & engage with children during playtime, meals & other daily routines.
  • Provide individual & group support to children as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development & progress.
  • Complete child assessments & participate in parent / teacher conferences.

    • Qualifications :

  • Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Children & Families
  • Two+ years experience working with young children, preferably toddlers.
  • Must qualify as a Group Supervisor with DHS.
  • Pass state, federal & child abuse background checks.
  • Be 18 years or older & able to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear & sit on the floor with children.
  • Must be patient, nurturing & able to create a positive learning environment.

    • Position Overview :

  • This is a full-time, year round position.
  • Pay range starts at $17.50 up to $20.00 (relative to experience & education) per hour with a pay increase based on performance & education at the end of a 90 day probation period.
  • Full-time staff also receive paid holidays, PTO, sick-time, reduced child care & more.
  • Full-time staff work a four-day work week!
