Job Summary The Federal Bid Specialist is responsible for supporting our Business Development team specifically related to Defense applications tied to Navsea. This candidate will additionally be responsible for identifying good fits on the Sam.Gov website, as well as other defense-specific job-boards. The position will require interfacing with end customers to understand their needs, while at the same time work cross-functionally with our internal team on how to best support the customers’ needs.
Essential Functions Identify and pursue new business opportunities tied to Government and designated Defense job boards with expectation to drive revenue and market share.
Oversee the preparation and delivery of estimates, proposals, and project documentation to ensure compliance with all government contracts and proposals.
Support Business Development and product delivery teams to win new business.
Target NAVSEA and ship-building manufacturing for part, assemblies and components.
Monitor and win government job board work for the company in sheet metal, CNC and additive manufacturing.
Participates in the creation and drives the utilization of a sales plan that profitably grows sales.
Responsible for identifying and delivering market share captured based on customer needs and identifying capabilities.
Responsible for recommending improvements that deliver improved outcomes for both the customer and the company.
Responsible for utilizing a sales framework, processing, and supporting tools that deliver desired sales goals and objectives.
