Job description

Advocate Health, the 3rd largest nonprofit integrated health systems in the country is seeking a Critical Care Intensivist to join our CVICU at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Position Highlights

30-bed CVICU

Post-op cardiac surgery including CABG, off-pump CAB, valve surgery, aortic surgery, LVADs and heart transplantation

Advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support devices

Thoracic surgery

Vascular surgery

ECMO (VV and VA)

Largest cardiac surgical program in Wisconsin

Full time requires 1,956 hours annually, shifts are 12 hours in length. Part-time options are also available.

Hourly salary range : $234.07 - $292.58

$75K Sign-on bonus for 1.0 FTE

Training and / or experience required

Fellowship training as well as board-eligibility or board-certification in Critical Care Medicine.

Prior clinical experience or fellowship training with VA and VV ECMO management, LVAD, and Impella management.

Prior clinical experience or fellowship training in the management of post-op cardiac surgical patients.

Prior experience or training with transthoracic echocardiography. Transesophageal echocardiography experience or training is desirable.
