About the Role : This position reports to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager and is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems to ensure the efficient operation of the equipment and machinery. This position will work closely with our maintenance and engineering teams to optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to enhance overall safety and productivity.

Your Responsibilities :

• Solve complex and highly technical problems.
• Maintain a high level of creativity and autonomy to enhance and uphold new and existing processes.
• Improve current processes to optimize efficiency and profitability.
• Create work instructions, control plans, and conduct process flow / failure analysis.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues on both new and existing equipment.
• Lead and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams to achieve process improvement goals.
• Develop control systems to enhance the safety, productivity, and quality of production lines.
• Guide technical staff in repairing and improving manufacturing equipment.
• Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment including but not limited to adhering to all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements, immediate incident reporting, and adherence to both Safety Cardinal Rules and Quality Cardinal Rules, among others.
• Promote, support, and enforce Western’s Safety, Quality, Governance, regulatory and ISO 9001 standards as they apply.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team.
