Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Radiology Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Local Contract Now Hiring : Radiology Technologist Full-Time | Competitive Pay | 3 Months Contract High Chances of Securing a Permanent Placement after Contract ends Location : Poughkeepsie, NY 10549 Scheduled : 8 Hours in Day , 5 Days in week Shift : 8 : 00am - 5 : 00 pm, M-F Hourly compensation : $40.00 - $ 50.00 Per hour. Responsibilities : Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety. Operate X-ray and related imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Follow physician orders to perform specific imaging studies. Adjust imaging equipment and select appropriate exposure factors based on patient size and area of interest. Protect patients, staff, and self by using radiation safety measures (lead shielding, proper exposure techniques, ALARA principles). Verify patient identity and explain procedures in a clear and reassuring manner. Review and evaluate images for quality, accuracy, and diagnostic value before submission. Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) and picture archiving system (PACS). Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to support accurate diagnoses. Clean, maintain, and calibrate radiologic equipment regularly. Monitor patients during procedures and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition. Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and safety regulations at all times. Qualification : ARRT Certification or NYS Radiologic Technologist License Required.
