Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement the Occupational Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients.
• Provide supervision, as needed, for staff Occupational Therapy Assistants in delivery of the OT plans of care.
• Assist as needed with patient screenings for the need for Occupational Therapy.
• Communicate progress and any barriers toward OT goals with interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete timely OT documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, and payor requirements.
• Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods.
• Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each OT patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow up.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements :

Current Texas licensure
