Key Responsibilities
- Design systems to safely, efficiently, and effectively transport drinking water and / or wastewater to and from end users, including pumping and storage projects
- Assist in the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, supporting senior engineering staff
- Assess the need for drinking water and / or wastewater treatment systems based on current and projected future population and / or development demands; conduct feasibility studies for new or expanded public utility infrastructure
- Analyze and recommend water and wastewater treatment technologies based on project requirements and effectiveness
- Design and develop specifications for various pumping and force main systems
- Ensure design and equipment specifications comply with applicable local, state, and federal guidelines and codes
- Prepare feasibility studies related to the collection, treatment, and distribution of water and wastewater
- Conduct appropriate cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects.
