Job description

Are you a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist looking for an exciting locum tenens assignment? A healthcare facility near Barnardsville, NC, seeks dedicated providers to support their growing Internal Medicine - Cardiology department.

This opportunity offers a rewarding mix of inpatient and outpatient care, combining clinical hours with call responsibilities.

Assignment Highlights :

  • Start Date : January 6, 2025
  • End Date : January 11, 2025
  • Setting : Inpatient and outpatient coverage required
  • Hospital Capacity : 86-bed facility
  • Call Type : Beeper with a 30-minute response time
  • Patients Per Shift : Based on hospital census and follow-ups
  • Call Volume : 0-10 patients, 100% callback rate

Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive cardiology care, including both inpatient rounds and outpatient consultations
  • Interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs and ECHOs
  • Support clinic operations, starting with 2 hours per day and scaling up as needed
  • Participate in call rotations and manage urgent cases

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Licensure : Active North Carolina medical license or eligibility
  • Certifications : ACLS required
  • Experience : Non-invasive cardiology expertise preferred
  • Board Status : Board-certified or board-eligible

    • Additional Details :

  • Credentialing Timeframe : Approximately 60-90 days
  • Onsite Support : Collaborative hospitalists manage admissions and consults
  • Special Skills Needed : Non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, STEMI care, and ICU familiarity
