Job description

Are you a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist looking for an exciting locum tenens assignment? A healthcare facility near Barnardsville, NC, seeks dedicated providers to support their growing Internal Medicine - Cardiology department.

This opportunity offers a rewarding mix of inpatient and outpatient care, combining clinical hours with call responsibilities.

Assignment Highlights :

Start Date : January 6, 2025
End Date : January 11, 2025
Setting : Inpatient and outpatient coverage required
Hospital Capacity : 86-bed facility
Call Type : Beeper with a 30-minute response time
Patients Per Shift : Based on hospital census and follow-ups
Call Volume : 0-10 patients, 100% callback rate

Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive cardiology care, including both inpatient rounds and outpatient consultations

Interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs and ECHOs

Support clinic operations, starting with 2 hours per day and scaling up as needed

Participate in call rotations and manage urgent cases

Required Qualifications :

Licensure : Active North Carolina medical license or eligibility

Certifications : ACLS required

Experience : Non-invasive cardiology expertise preferred

Board Status : Board-certified or board-eligible

Additional Details :

Credentialing Timeframe : Approximately 60-90 days

Onsite Support : Collaborative hospitalists manage admissions and consults

Special Skills Needed : Non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, STEMI care, and ICU familiarity
