Job descriptionServes as essential personnel and provides assistance in the event of an emergency on campus. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. This position requires a high school diploma and one year of full-time experience directly related to the job functions. Experience in multimedia technical system support, helpdesk support, or other closely related experience. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and / or certifications may be considered. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in an area of appropriate specialization. Experience in higher education. Experience with technical support of computer and multimedia systems; operating and troubleshooting classroom media presentation systems. Knowledge of and ability to manage audio visual control equipment such as Crestron / AMX / Extron. Knowledge of desktop computers and basic networking concepts. Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines. Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate and perform work in various situations when numerous and competing demands are involved. Ability to collaborate and work effectively within the community and willingness to contribute to a team effort. Ability to operate personal computers with proficiency and to learn new applications and systems. Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments. Ability to provide professional customer service. Ability to install and operate sound systems for events. Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Job Description
Typical duties may include but are not limited to :
- Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs peripherals, AV control panels, and computers.
- Resolves internal user problems and ensures correct operation of audio visual equipment.
- Maintains parts inventory and logs all service / repair activity.
- Processes orders, logs, and controls loan equipment inventory.
- Tracks tickets in work order system.
