Electrical Engineer
Location : Golden, CO (in office up to 20% travel)
Compensation : up to $88k
AimHire is partnering with an innovative, industry-leading engineering and manufacturing organization seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. This individual will be responsible for creating and reviewing controls engineering documentation in support of customer submittal packages, fabrication, and equipment installation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrate strong technical problem-solving skills, and possess hands-on experience with electrical control systems and PLC / HMI programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review electrical control system designs and drawings in collaboration with Electrical Designers.
- Assemble submittal packages, installation and maintenance manuals, component specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Review customer specifications, interpret requirements, and support proposal preparation and project implementation.
- Develop programming for PLC and related components to operate mechanical and process systems in alignment with sequence of operations.
- Configure control panel components and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to communicate specification requirements, vendor communications, product changes, and pre-ordering.
- Coordinate with Planning and Panel Shop personnel to ensure manufacturability and design accuracy.
- Provide installation support, assist with field troubleshooting, and contribute to the preparation of Installation, Operations, and Maintenance (IOM) manuals.
- Maintain all engineering documentation in Autodesk Vault and actively participate in Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.
- Design parts and develop practical solutions to unique project challenges.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize deliverables to meet deadlines.
Experience
3+ years of experience in electrical controls design and project implementation.Hands-on experience with PLC / HMI-based control systems design and programming.Familiarity with configuration and commissioning of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).Knowledge of UL 508A standards (preferred).Experience with process and instrumentation hardware implementation.Prior exposure to water or wastewater treatment equipment (preferred).Panel building, testing, and troubleshooting experience (a plus).BSEE, BSEET, ASEET, or similar degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering (or a related discipline).AimHire is an equal opportunity employer.
