We are seeking a talented Billing and Reimbursement Practice Manager to join our Public Sector Solutions team. How You Will Make an Impact at Rehmann :
- Participate in proposals for new prospects, which likely includes preparing andpresenting information to potential clients
- Oversee client relationships which is crucial for maintaining positive interactions and ensuring client satisfaction
- Supervise staff including hiring, training, monitoring performance, evaluating, and addressing disciplinary matters
- Develop and implement best practices for all revenue cycle functions, includingprocesses for the client intake, billing (both 1st and 3rd party), and managing accounts receivable
- Provide reports related to client billing and reimbursement to the Finance departments for services provided
- Monitor practice performance and suggest on measurements for improvement
- Coordinate first and third-party billings (including Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and other funding sources) to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Responsible for compliance with ability to pay and sliding fee scale calculation, insurance verification technical billing requirements, and client insurance plans and timespans
- Oversee health plan credentialing to ensure that applicable client staff meet necessary requirements
Your Desired Skills, Values & Experiences :
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in business or related field; and five years’ experience in the health care industry, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
- Previous experience in behavioral health practice management preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Sound understanding of management processes relative to organizing, planning, implementing, and evaluating along with strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to navigate multiple insurance verification systems and train others to use these systems as needed
- Knowledge of the application of claims and billing principles as they apply to maintaining financial control and accounting records
- Thorough working knowledge of the Michigan Mental Health Code and Medicaid Manual
- Knowledge of HIPAA, Uniform billing, CPT codes, ICD-10, DSM and other State and Federal regulations
- Excellent communications, interpersonal and human relation skills
