Overview
Job Title : Primary Care Physician
Classification : Full-Time or Part-Time
Reports to : Chief Medical Officer
Salary : $110.57 - $120.19 per hour
Summary : Provide the full scope of primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance to patients. They serve as leaders within the patient centered medical home model and work collaboratively with the care team to ensure that each patient gets the best possible care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of chronic and acute illnesses.
- Attend to patients in a timely and orderly manner to keep waiting time to a minimum and maximize productivity.
- Obtain appropriate patient history, perform physical evaluation, order appropriate diagnostic tests and follow up with interpretation, formulate assessment and initiate treatment plan with appropriate follow up appointments.
- Order and review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG); sign, date and follow up with patients in a timely manner.
- Ensure documentation is recorded in a complete, timely and orderly manner, utilizing the electronic medical record templates and use the electronic health record to its full capacity.
- Collaborate with other physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and available in-house social service support programs to ensure efficient, high-quality integrated care.
Additional Expectations
Comfortable with completing three to four patient encounters per clinical hour.Close patient encounter notes within three business days after the encounter occurs.Maintain a positive, proactive attitude focused on positive patient interactions and growing the practice.Qualifications / Experience
Be a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) licensed to practice in Texas with no pending or previous disciplinary action from any state licensing entity.Active DEA license (or ability to obtain).Previous experience in a primary care setting preferred.Spanish speaking a plus but not required.Time / Physical Requirements
Schedule to be determined and negotiable.Tasks occur in both medical office and clinic setting.Able to lift 25 lbs and perform normal duties associated with a clinic / office setting.J-18808-Ljbffr
