SUMMARY :
The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position is a field employee position providing one-to-one and small group emotional support and behavioral interventions to children / adolescents in a school setting throughout Chester County, PA. We specialize in serving children primarily diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as other special needs diagnoses.
PCA assignments available throughout Chester County, PA area school districtsGenerous hourly starting pay rate of $22 per hour and progresses to $26.50 per hour (w2 employment)SCHEDULE :

Deliver tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with disabilities, helping them participate in classroom activities, manage behavioral interventions, manage personal care, and access to educational environment as it aligns with the student's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).Implement timely interventions focusing on behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and enhancing peer interaction skills, according to the goals outlined in the IEP or positive behavioral support plan set by Special Education team.Gather daily data and maintain progress notes in the designated format for each session with the child or adolescent.Offer direct assistance to students to fulfill their academic, social, emotional, and / or personal care requirements.Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
High School Diploma OR equivalencyExperience working with school aged children - preferredExperience with autism and / or other special needs - preferredStaff on assignment for West Chester Area School District must have a high school diploma and ability to complete a local assessment requirement OR Two-years of post secondary education (48 college credits)CREDENTIALING REQUIREMENTS :
