Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Hospice Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 16 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse – Hospice Location : 1110 Prim Rd, Colchester, VT 05446 Shift : Day | 4x10-Hour (7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM) Assignment Length : 16–32 weeks (tentative need) Job Description The Hospice RN will provide compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care in a community setting. This role involves complex symptom management, patient and family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure comfort and dignity for hospice patients. Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered hospice and end-of-life care Perform comprehensive symptom assessment and management Administer medications via IV, subcutaneous, oral, sublingual, rectal, and other routes Document care accurately in a narrative-heavy EMR system Facilitate and participate in goals-of-care discussions with patients, families, and the care team Occasionally provide call coverage as needed for on-call team Requirements Experience : Minimum 3 years of prior community hospice experience Certifications : AHA BLS required Skills : Strong typing and documentation proficiency Advanced critical thinking and symptom management skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Orientation : Bi-weekly on Mondays (next orientation : 8 / 18) Additional Details Holiday Requirement : Must work 2 of the 4 holidays – Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Day Schedule : Monday–Sunday (no block scheduling permitted) Transportation : Personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not available) Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires from November–April About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies : Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) , proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs .
