Senior Reimbursement Specialist (Exempt)

Responsible for gathering and preparing data necessary for filing all Medicare and Medicaid cost reports; coordinating all audit activities that relate to third party issues; assuring appropriate reimbursement from all parties; analyzing, preparing, and booking the monthly third-party activity; preparing financial and hospital-based analysis requests; providing Mercy-wide and regional provider enrollment support for hospital providers; and, preparing various industry and payer surveys. Performs these tasks in a manner which is consistent with the values and mission of Mercy Health. Position Details : Minimum Required Qualifications

Education :

BS Degree in Accounting or Finance

Licensure : None

Experience :

5 years experience in healthcare cost reporting

Certification / Registration :

None

Other Skills and Knowledge :

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Education :

Licensure : None

Experience :

5+ yrs in Medicare cost report preparation or auditing

Medicare Area Contractor experience is a plus

Certification / Registration :

CPA or other is a plus

Other Skills and Knowledge :

Access and other database software experience
