We are looking for a Teacher or Teaching Assistant who has a degree with the ability to be New Mexico certified by the NMPED. Must be local.

Compensation :
$30,000 - $40,000 yearly DOE
Responsibilities :
Teach computer skills to residentsIntegrate social training and practice through off-campus activities and field tripsEncourage residents to develop social awareness and a sense of responsibility through community service projectsHelp integrate other Ranch programs, such as 4-H, with school activitiesPresent an appropriate role model during the educational process and on campusAssist in maintaining the physical facilities of the schoolDiscuss individual assessments and intervention plans with the Education AdministratorSupport and communicate with other Ranch staff as neededDevelop and implement an individualized educational plan for each Ranch residentCreate a regulated classroom and structured learning environmentHave a working knowledge of the curriculum programs used in the campus school and provide proactive assistance to residents to assist them in the successful completion of work assigned to themAssist in maintaining a liaison with the local public school as neededCommunicate with the counselor as neededReport all grades and other information on a timely basis to the campus registrarProvide classroom structure during the school day and appropriate discipline for students as neededInclude life skill training as part of educational experienceQualifications :
Ability to motivate studentsStrong Math SkillsWillingness to maintain and improve professional skills through additional training and educationWillingness to work with at-risk children from difficult backgrounds, many with learning difficulties and behavioral problemsExhibit an ability to work in harmony with othersOrganizational skillsFamiliar with EdgenuityExperience in and desire to work with adolescentsExperience in secondary school teachingExperience in Microsoft OfficeAbility to remain regulated and provide a structured classroomBachelors DegreeAbout Company
