School Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Salary : $1200 / Week

Location : Santa Barbara, CA

Schedule : 3 days / week | 24 hours / week | In-person only

Contract Length : 35 weeks

Start Date : ASAP

Amergis is seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide school-based physical therapy services to students across the district. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care to support students' mobility, physical development, and therapeutic needs.

Responsibilities :

• Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with educational staff and healthcare professionals to support student success

Minimum Requirements :

Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in California

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

One (1) year of professional PTA experience preferred

School-based experience preferred

Current CPR certification (if applicable)

TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)

Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation :

Local Pay Rate : $50 / hour

Classroom Setting : School-wide

Grade Level : District-wide

Case Load / Class Size : TBD
