As a CT Technologist at AdventHealth, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality imaging services. You will perform neurological and body scans for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics, ensuring adherence to age-specific guidelines while managing a professional and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct all scans according to established protocols, ensuring patient identification and safety.Educate patients about the examination process and screen for any allergies, particularly to contrast substances.Efficiently manage examination workflows, minimizing table downtime.Operate imaging equipment safely while minimizing radiation exposure for all.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work areas and perform quality assurance checks on CT scanners.Review images and repeat as necessary to achieve optimal results, actively communicating with physicians about urgent findings.Utilize the computer system for managing exam orders and ensuring accuracy before transmission to the PACS system.Qualifications :
To be considered for this role, you will need :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationCompletion of a radiologic technology training program and A.R.R.T. registrationGeneral radiographer state license, if requiredComputed Tomography A.R.R.T.
