MRI Technologist - Night Shift
Location : Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Bethesda, MD
Schedule : Monday - Friday | 10 : 30 PM - 7 : 00 AM

USGP is currently seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services to our nation's military service members, veterans, and their families at the prestigious Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an MRI education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and recommended by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Certifications
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)Registered MR Technologist (R.T. (MR)) certification through ARRTExperience
Minimum 3 years of full-time MRI technologist experienceProficiency with GE and Siemens MRI scannersImmunization Requirements

Operate MRI systems in accordance with facility protocols and Joint Commission (JC) standards
Perform a full range of MRI exams without need for additional training
Accurately interpret instructions and independently adjust imaging sequences as neededIdentify abnormalities and notify radiologist of urgent findingsPerform venipuncture for IV contrast administrationPrepare and position patients safely and comfortably for MRI proceduresSet up and operate MRI coils, monitoring devices, and patient response systemsConduct quality control checks to ensure high-quality imaging resultsCommunicate effectively with patients throughout the procedure to reduce anxiety and improve cooperationMaintain and clean MRI equipment and work areas per facility policyPerform inventory checks and restock supplies as neededMonitor patient conditions and initiate emergency protocols when requiredEnsure safety protocols are followed, particularly related to metal implants or devicesStay current on ARRT-required continuing education and maintain all professional certificationsAdditional Expectations
Demonstrate professionalism and sound clinical judgmentMaintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and infection control standardsActively participate in training, orientation, and competency programsCollaborate with other healthcare team members and provide feedback on patient careMonitor equipment for malfunctions and initiate repair requests as needed
