Pay Information

$1,800 to $2,120 per week

About The Position

Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms using digital mammography equipment in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.

Ensure accurate patient positioning and image quality while minimizing patient radiation exposure.

Prepare and maintain mammography rooms and equipment for patient procedures.

Verify patient identity and medical history, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.

Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and quality care.

Maintain compliance with FDA / MQSA, ACR, and state regulatory requirements .

Document patient data and exam details accurately in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) .

Perform quality control (QC) testing on mammography equipment as required.

Maintain a clean, safe, and patient-centered work environment.

Participate in ongoing continuing education and training to stay current with best practices in breast imaging.

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.

ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) required.

State licensure (if applicable).

Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in mammography preferred.

Current BLS / CPR certification .

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with digital breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography) .

Knowledge of PACS / RIS systems and electronic health records (EHR).

Ability to handle anxious or high-risk patients with empathy and professionalism.
