Job Description Summary

Drives battery or propane powered industrial forklift equipped with fork and / or tote dumping attachments for moving empty pallets, pallets of product, totes, equipment, etc.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities in the following; other duties may be assigned.

• Must work safely
• Move various pallets from station to station as required by the Process or Packaging depts.
• Supplies stations with the correct production and materials as needed throughout the shift.
• Monitors remaining materials and supplies in storage.
• Changes large industrial forklift batteries as needed.
• Operates Pallet Stretchwrap Machine & places completed pallets on the storage dock.
• Insures proper pallet tags, pallet tickets, etc. are placed properly.
• Communicates with Packaging Lead regarding problems with materials or equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area during production.
• Must assist in the reduction of safety hazards and work safely at all times.
• Must behave in a professional manner at all times & comply with all Company policies & procedures. Performs other functions as directed by the Packaging Lead or Shift Supervisor
• Must maintain a good attendance record
• Must be able to operate levers and pedals to control movement of the forks or other attachments.
• Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
