Job description

Material Handler

The material handler is a key player playing a vital part in transporting the required supplies by unloading orders and moving inventory utilizing a pallet jack. Work closely with the different departments and coaches to organize the workflow and moving orders to an assigned location and handling movement of inventory.

General duties and responsibilities include :

  • Ability to operate and manage technical equipment like the Pallet Jack.
  • Pull or place cartons on the racks.
  • Provides work and supplies for the different stations.
  • Distributes work from staging areas to the different stations and scan location.
  • Arranges orders by size for better efficiency.
  • Cuts up and disposes of cardboard cases, plastic and packing materials and takes to the compactor.
  • Separates hangers for recycling.
  • Maintains supplies (hangtags, labels, clips) for the different stations.
  • Go the distance to keep work area clean and safe.

Educational requirements include :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • General knowledge, skills, and abilities include :

  • The ability to work in a warehouse home team fast-paced environment, with a winning set of communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours depending on the daily work volume.
  • Have your game on to work a shift with overtime, as necessary (i.e., flexible hours & days).
  • Familiarity with professional sports leagues and teams is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Average knowledge in reading and understanding bar codes on boxes utilizing RF scanning equipment (preferred).
  • Perform inventory counts accurately.
  • Ability to regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds or more, reaching & bending when offloading and separating shipments.
  • Average knowledge in reading and understanding bar codes on boxes, must be able to read locations.
  • Computer skills (preferred).
  • Other responsibilities as required.
