Overall Position Summary and Objectives
This position is located in the Section on Biomedical Optics (SBO), NICHD. The SBO's staff collaborate with scientists throughout the Intramural Program of NIH on complex research projects of high importance and conduct independent development of technologies valuable to the long-term needs of the NIH IRP. The SBO focuses on development and translation of wearable optical imaging devices to monitor peripheral hemodynamics in bedside settings. The SBO designs, characterizes, and implements these devices for a multitude of clinical studies spanning a variety of vascular diseases.
