Registered Nurse Operating Room Cherokee, IA

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an RN for a 13-week OR contract in Cherokee, IA. This position covers Pre-Op, PACU, and circulating roles in a small, traveler-friendly hospital setting.

Assignment Details : Shift : Day, 8 hours

Schedule : M-F typical, flexible to accommodate traveling surgeons

Call : 12 times per week, at least every 3rd weekend; 30-minute response time

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : ASAP

OR Details :

Suites : 2 OR suites + 1 Endo suite

Cases : Up to 1520 per day (including cataracts and pain cases)

Common Cases : Ortho and General; excludes head, heart, back cases

EMR : EPIC

Scrubbing : RN preferred, must hold camera when needed

OR Techs : 1 per shift

Floating : Pre-Op and PACU if needed; experience preferred but not required

Requirements :

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS

Experience : Minimum 1 year OR experience; first-time travelers considered

Flexibility : Must accommodate varying schedules and traveling surgeon needs

Other Notes :

Dress Code : Scrubs provided

Orientation : 1-hour virtual general orientation + 1 day floor orientation
