General Laborer Opportunities At General Mills

FurstStaffing has general labor opportunities available at GENERAL MILLS, a highly regarded snacks manufacturing plant, in Belvidere. This position will give you a THREE-DAY WEEKEND every other week!

The General Laborer is an essential production support role.

$18.00 per hour

The shift hours for AM General Laborer are 5 : 30 p.m.-6 : 00 a.m. within an Alternating Work Week Schedule :

  • Week One - Mon / Thurs / Fri (36 hours)
  • Week Two - Tues / Wed / Sat / Sun (48 hours)

Shifts are 12.5 hours which include three 30 minutes breaks, two of which are paid time.

Primary responsibility for the General Laborer position :

  • Loading folded boxes from cage into baler

    • Additional tasks may include :

  • Loading cups onto conveyor line
  • Hand packing product into boxes / cartons
  • Stacking boxes / cartons onto pallets
  • Hand feeding product onto the production line
  • Box making and break down
  • Visual inspection of various products and packaging material components
  • Line cleaning and sanitation

    • Job requirements for the Packer position include :

  • Ability to stand throughout shift and lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, and walk up and down stairs
