Overview
Hydraulic Hose Technician & Counter Associate role at Midwest Hose & Specialty is a hybrid position handling hydraulic hose technical work and counter sales. The role receives inbound phone calls and walk-in customer inquiries, documents accounts, and submits orders in a professional manner. Requires the ability to work independently at times, with basic computer tasks and typing skills, and demands strong verbal and written communication. The position involves diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems and running hydraulic shop processes, with a high standard of work that is often time sensitive. Ideal applicants may have prior experience as a Parts Specialist or experience at a parts counter.
Responsibilities
- Assist telephone and walk-in customers
- Understand and utilize catalog to assist customers in part selection
- Initiate customer orders and counter orders through ERP
- Process cash, credit, and checks
- Support Hose Technicians as needed to fulfill orders
- Perform various inventory control tasks including paperwork and computer-driven transactions
- Identify customer needs and meet or exceed monthly customer experience goals
- Navigate multiple computer programs with speed and accuracy
- Work with customers to resolve inquiries and maintain professionalism
- Perform any other assigned proprietary duties
Qualifications And Requirements
