Job descriptionNurse Practitioner Job Description Overview We are seeking dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioners to join our healthcare team. Ideal candidates will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients across various settings. The Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring high-quality care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret laboratory results. Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions as required. Provide acute pain management and support for patients undergoing procedures. Manage chronic conditions through ongoing patient education and follow-up care. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Participate in clinical research and contribute to evidence-based practice initiatives. Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding lifestyle modifications. Engage in telehealth consultations as needed to expand access to care. Requirements Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice. Experience in primary care, urgent care, or specialty areas such as gastroenterology or pediatrics is preferred. Proficiency with EMR / EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth. Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-9, ICD-10) and CPT coding practices. Strong clinical skills including suturing, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and catheterization. Knowledge of critical care practices including ventilator management and airway management. Experience in geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, or senior care is advantageous. Ability to perform procedures such as spinal taps or diagnostic imaging as needed. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration. Commitment to continuous professional development through training in areas like esthetic laser treatment or behavioral health.
