ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Harrison Township, NJ 08062 – New Jersey nursing jobs

Healthcare Setting : Intensive Care Unit (ICU); required floating to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed

Hours per Week : 36

Assignment Duration : 10-week contract

Nursing Shifts : Every other weekend required; 1 holiday per contract if needed

Start Date : November 17, 2025

Charting System : Cerner

Scrub Color : Navy

Hourly Pay Rate : $86.49 (W2)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2090 - $2200

Tax Status : W2

ICU RN Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required; PCU experience preferred

Cardiac ICU experience highly desirable

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)

Ability to float to PCU as needed to support clinical care

Completion of all orientation and onboarding requirements

Maximum of 3 days requested time off (RTO) allowed

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and float to PCU as needed

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate and communicate patient care

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements

Participate in all required orientation sessions and complete assigned training modules on schedule
