About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : 2-3 years prior Med ICU or ICU experience required

License : State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, Telemetry, NIHSS-CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours

Must-Have :

• Strong experience with central lines, ventilators, and ICU Cardiac Telemetry
• Competency in administering blood transfusions

Description :

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.

Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs.

Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.

Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.

Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.

Manages care of patients.

Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and / or clinical priorities.

Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.

Provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule Notes :

Every other weekend required or as needed.

Holidays required as needed based on unit needs.

No on-call requirement.

Float requirement to similar ICUs may be required.
