Head Start Program Manager, Program Development Services
The Los Angeles County of Education is seeking an innovative, systems thinking, experienced leader for the Head Start Program Manager, Program Development Services role. Under administrative direction, plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the activities and staff of the Program Development Services team; manages the development and implementation of the overall program design and management systems for program planning and development, grant development, and approach to eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance to ensure children have access to and participate in federal or state funded early education school readiness programs that meet their family's needs.

Required Education and Experience :
Education : A bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, behavioral or social sciences or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience : Five years of experience managing program planning, enrollment systems, and program design in an educational or social services organization, including two years of experience in a supervisory management capacity. Additional requirements : Experience in an early childhood education setting and a master's degree in business administration, public administration, behavioral or social sciences, or in a related field are desirable. A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
Selection Process : Candidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of a performance exam, technical project, and a structured interview.
