Job Description
Our client, a leading trucking dealership, is seeking a motivated Service Advisor to join their team. This critical role serves as the primary liaison between customers and the service department, managing repair requests, warranty concerns, and preventive maintenance while providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities :
Conduct lot inspections at the start of the dayWelcome customers warmly upon arrival and manage their service needsCommunicate equipment status updates via phone or emailSchedule and manage service appointments efficientlyDocument vehicle issues clearly and accurately on repair request formsCollect vehicle information, billing details, and payment methodsUse tablets to capture before-and-after photos of serviced vehiclesPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor and partsOrder parts and coordinate timely invoicingTrack repair progress throughout the day in collaboration with technicians and foremenReview completed repair orders to ensure all tasks are finishedExplain completed work and charges to customers clearly and professionallyMaintain high standards of customer satisfactionManage incoming telephone inquiries regarding appointments and repairsKeep the service office clean and organizedSupport accounts payable / receivable and payroll as assignedReport directly to the Shop ForemanPerform other duties as assigned by managementQualifications & Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum six months of customer service experience, preferably in automotive or heavy equipment serviceExceptional oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational, time management, and math skillsProfessional demeanor with excellent reading and computer literacy, including data entryFamiliarity with Karmak systems is preferred but not requiredAbility to alternate between sitting and standing for extended periodsBenefits and Perks :
