Job Title : Production Associate

Job Description

Join our team as a Production Associate, where you will play a crucial role in the production process by working collaboratively in cells with another individual. You will be assigned to one line and will have the opportunity to cross-train based on proficiency. The work schedule is from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various machines including rewind machines, bunchers dynamex, samp wire draw machines, and plating lines.
  • Monitor production equipment effectively to ensure smooth operations.
  • Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints.
  • Communicate with the Cell Lead regarding any discrepancies in drawings or BOM.
  • Inspect pieces and parts to ensure they conform to specifications and industry standards.
  • Operate air and power tools as required.
  • Utilize measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, gage pins, and tape measures.
  • Maintain productivity levels that meet or exceed production standards.
  • Follow safety rules and use safe procedures at all times.
  • Keep all tools and supplies organized and in their appropriate locations daily.
  • Work closely with the Quality Control Department to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with machine operation and general production.
  • Ability to set up machines and maintain production manufacturing standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and bills of materials.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to continuously stand, move, and reach with arms and hands.
  • Capability to frequently walk, bend, lift, and carry items.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Work Environment

    The work environment includes a plant size of 40. The role requires wearing personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairmont, North Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00 / hr.
