Travel RN Job Details

Location : Bismarck, ND 58501 (North Dakota nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (straight nights), with some day shifts as needed

Schedule : Every other weekend and holiday required

Guaranteed Hours : 48 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2240 - $2400

Unit Size : 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 for L&D, 1 : 3 mom / baby couplets, 4 gyns, or a combination of 1 : 5-6

Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs for gyn and mom / baby care; hospital-provided scrubs for L&D

Orientation : 36 hours orientation for travelers

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Gyn care

Certifications : BLS (CPR), ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); STABLE preferred

Experience with fetal monitoring and care of high-risk obstetric patients

Willingness to float to Newborn Nursery and NICU as needed

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, with some day shifts as required

Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday

Must badge in and out at the healthcare facility

No local travelers accepted within 80 miles of Bismarck, ND

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients, including high-risk and obstetric cases

Deliver postpartum care for mothers and newborns

Care for Gyn surgical post-op patients

Utilize equipment such as fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, vital signs monitors, OBIX documentation, and EPIC charting systems

Float to Newborn Nursery and NICU as needed to support clinical teams

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including dress code and timekeeping
